Now, one little caveat that I would like to mention. My husband does tend to love everything that I cook, but sometimes he gets some pretty weird ideas. So, he saw the plate pictured below, and thought that the apples looked good. Upon taking a large scoop, he discovered that while the chicken does absorb a lovely flavor, the apples, onions, etc. have an extremely strong flavor on their own - and he reports that it's not particularly pleasant either! He does tend to get some pretty crazy ideas sometimes, which is why I do most of the cooking.
Ingredients
- 4-6 chicken legs
- 2 medium apples, sliced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 ½ cups water
Directions
- Place all ingredients in the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.
Notes- Goes well with rice, mashed potatoes or any of your favorite fall veggies!
