As you all know, I love to design and crate my own recipes for both cooking and baking. I've tried tons of different chocolate chip cookie recipes, and it seems that they always end up either flat and hard, or too gooey; never the right texture when I'm craving one!
One day I was searching around and happened to stumble upon
this recipe, and the picture caught my eye. So, I decided to give 'em a whirl!
They have since become the new favorite cookie in the house. My daughter has even stated, "These are better than the ones from the grocery store!"
Which is saying something because our grocery store is
Wegmans!
I only made a slight adjustment to the recipe as it is written. I found that because you are rolling the dough into balls, I needed to increase the baking time slightly to 11 minutes. This turned out a nice sized cookie, but it was still a little too soft when they first came out of the oven. So, I found that they needed to rest on the sheet for about 2 minutes.
This one turned out so well, and Ashley has so many other recipes on
her blog, that I can't wait to dive into them!!
