UPDATE: Happy Easter!!! I am so happy to now be offering this super cute rabbit for FREE!
Okay, this is probably one of my favorite hats that I have ever designed! Living in the Northeast of the US, it can still be quite cool in the morning and evening throughout the Spring season, so I still like to put hats on my little ones. This one fits the bill perfectly for that job!
Also, my little guy LOVES rabbits! He has had a love of them for the past 2 years, so I wanted to make sure this hat was extra special. As I was working on them and the design I would ask his input and he would tell me either yes or no! It was very special and he hasn't taken it off since I finished it!
I know I say this a lot with most of my patterns, but this hat is also perfect for both boys and girls. Just a touch of a flower or bow and boom, the hat is an adorable girl bunny for your precious little girl.
The wide range of sizes make this hat great for a newborn baby's photo prop, all the way up to a little guy or gal's hat!

Time for Assembly
Ears
- Trace and cut two inner ear pieces.
- Using embroidery floss sew inner ears onto crocheted ears.
- Fold bottom of ears (so the sides touch), and sew the bottom together and up the first three rounds (this will pinch and form the ears).
- Sew pink nose onto muzzle piece by placing the round 2 stitches (nose top) on the center stitches of the muzzle.
- Sew mouth under nose with pink yarn.
- Pin muzzle to hat right above the reverse single crochet round on the bottom.
- Using eye color yarn sew pupil onto white of eye towards the bottom.
- Using the white eyes tail, sew a twinkle in the pupil of the eye.
- Pin eyes to hat above muzzle.
- Sew muzzle onto hat.
- With white sew whiskers onto hat from side of muzzle to head on both sides of the nose.
- Sew eyes onto hat using the white yarn from the twinkle.
- Place ears on top of the hat until you like the position. I like to go 4 to 5 rounds out towards the front from the center for smaller sizes, and 5 to 6 round out towards the front for the larger sizes.
- Sew ears onto hat. To help them stay standing in place, be sure to sew all the way around the base of the ears. They will always have a little wiggle to them.
- Weave in all remaining ends.

Muzzle

Eyes

*~* Feel free to adjust the muzzle and the eyes to get them in the exact place that you want them.
*~* By going out towards the front of the hat instead of off to the side, the ears will be on top of the person’s head. Otherwise the ears will be off to the back.
*~* ENJOY *~*
