I had been looking for a beginner's chapter book, you know something that was easy enough for the kids to grasp, but still broken down into chapters. And, this book hit the mark!
It's actually a collection of three separate books that occur in chronological order.
We went through it a chapter a night, and made sure to ask the kids to explain what had happened the night before - to ensure that they were actually keeping up with the story. It worked out great, and they really enjoyed it!
My two and a half year old son would constantly ask, "What's gonna happen to the dragon!?!" And my four and a half year old daughter would shush him, and tell him to "Just listen and we will find out!" It was so cute!!
I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I'll leave it here, and just say that little ones will love it!
